Financial due diligence

The purpose of a due diligence procedure is to identify the opportunities and risks as well as the strong and weak points of the respective target object. Potential investors frequently carry them out in order to obtain an assessment of the legal, economic and financial situation of the property. But also the businesses themselves increasingly conduct due diligence exercises as a basis for the financing decision of loan or equity providers. As a result, a due diligence helps to reduce information asymmetries and, at the same time, presents the foundation for drafting the contract (for example guarantees, exemptions, earn-out clauses).

A financial due diligence procedure takes the results of all due diligence areas into account (e.g. tax due diligence) to the extent that they have financial effects. In connection with a financial due diligence, the scope or our services to clients is adjusted to the individual business-specific situation. Whether from the perspective of the investor 'buy-side due diligence' or from the perspective of the business 'vendor due diligence' – the modular structure of our services, from red flag due diligence to full scope due diligence and an optimum interface management, ensures that all information relevant for the decision is taken into account.
